  • Description

In one day tremendous things can happen in a city! Look around and stay still for a second and you will see the twittering birds, the running cars, buses, subways and trams rushing to the next stop, construction workers, people doing their errands, and dogs playing in the park. When looking closely you may find that a city is just like a series of building blocks, just a little larger and noisier sometimes. I hope you will enjoy the imaginary city that I have created in this picture and will feel encouraged to create your own!

    Artist Bio:

Réka Király was born in 1977 in Budapest, Hungary and currently lives in Helsinki, Finland. She works in the field of graphic and surface design and illustration. As a kid she regularly would sit in her interior architect parents' studio and draw in the dust under her father's woodworking bench colorful and fun pictures of all kinds of creations. The use of vivid color combinations accompanied her journey to the North and she continues to be inspired daily by the exciting light conditions in Finland. She is fascinated by the constant change in nature and in everyday life, by modularity, curious collections, dialogues, juxtapositions and the “what if?” of life. Since 2009 Réka has been designing surface patterns for textile and paper products mainly for children and in 2012 her first children's book "It's snowing, Lupo!" in collaboration with Marika Maijala was published.

    Authenticity Card

Each LittleCollector print is accompanied by an authenticity card containing the title of the work, the artist's signature and the edition number as well as care instructions. This card ensures that your work is properly authenticated. Artists do not sign the surface of the print directly to maintain a clear distinction between their original signed pieces and their LittleCollector prints. A rendering of the authenticity card is below.

    Print Scale

All LittleCollector limited editions are printed to order on 100% cotton rag Hahnemuhle paper with archival Epson inkjet pigments and are hand cut to size. That's the same quality used by fine art galleries and museums. All of our printing and framing is done right here in the USA using environmentally friendly materials that are safe for children.

All prints are printed with a minimum border of 0.5 inches to allow for framing. Quoted print dimensions are the paper size and include this border. The image size will be slightly smaller than the paper size and will vary with each image. Likewise, we never crop, color correct or otherwise alter our artists' work and adhere to the highest image quality standards.

LittleCollector offers professional, child-safe custom wood framing on every print. Framing is the best way to preserve your art and all LittleCollector frames have Plexiglas fronts to prevent breakage with the authenticity card mounted on the back. And we use 8-ply acid-free mats with a taped backing to ensure your art lives a long and inspiring life on your walls.
